Paul Pangilinan Villar Founder, VP Cares International Foundation

Paul Pangilinan Villar brings more than three decades of experience in life insurance, health insurance, Medicare, real estate, entrepreneurship, media, entertainment management, and nonprofit leadership. Throughout his professional journey, he has had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and industries, building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping organizations bring their visions to life. Yet, when Paul reflects on his journey, he does not see his accomplishments as his own.

He sees them as gifts from God.

Paul believes that every ability, opportunity, relationship, and achievement he has been blessed with carries a greater purpose. His professional experiences have provided him with knowledge and connections, but his faith has taught him that these gifts are meant to be used in service to others and, ultimately, to glorify God.

A Career Built on Relationships and Service

Over the course of his career, Paul has worked as an international Realtor, entrepreneur, insurance professional, media executive, and entertainment manager. These diverse experiences have allowed him to develop a unique perspective on business, communication, public relations, organizational leadership, and community engagement.

His work in the entertainment and media industry has included serving as an Executive Director for television celebrities and radio personalities and coordinating public relations initiatives, live remote broadcasts, promotional events, and special programs.

Since 1996, Paul has worked with NBC TV4 weather forecaster Christopher Nance, coordinating numerous live remote broadcasts and public relations efforts. His professional projects have included programs and events involving Disney On Ice, the Rose Parade and Thai Airways International, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, the Royal Kingdom of Thailand, Disneyland, and many other entertainment and community initiatives. These experiences taught Paul the value of bringing people together. Whether working with media professionals, business leaders, entertainers, nonprofit organizations, families, or community members, he has learned that meaningful results are often created when people use their individual gifts to serve a purpose greater than themselves.

A Heart for Community

Community service has been an important part of Paul's life for decades. From 1996 to 2003, he served as Executive Director and Producer of the Christopher Nance Children's Foundation. Since 2014, he has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Famegate Foundation. Through these experiences, Paul has witnessed firsthand the challenges that individuals and families can face—sometimes unexpectedly and through circumstances beyond their control. Those experiences helped inspire him to establish VP Cares International Foundation, creating a platform through which people can come together to extend compassion, encouragement, resources, and financial assistance to those experiencing difficult seasons in life.

VP Cares was born from a simple conviction: When God blesses us, we are called to be a blessing to others.

A Mission of Compassion

With strong connections to both the United States and the Philippines, Paul has a particular passion for helping communities in both countries. VP Cares International Foundation seeks to assist individuals and families affected by disasters and other life-changing circumstances, including serious medical situations, the loss of loved ones, unemployment and financial hardship, educational needs, and human trafficking.

The foundation's mission extends beyond financial assistance. Paul believes that people in difficult circumstances need to know that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. Through partnerships with donors, volunteers, community leaders, businesses, organizations, and compassionate individuals, VP Cares seeks to create a network of people who are willing to care, share, encourage, and help carry one another's burdens.

Stewardship, Trust, and Integrity

Paul understands that leadership is a responsibility. Whether someone entrusts him with a professional relationship, a business opportunity, a charitable contribution, a personal story, or a community initiative, he believes that trust should be treated with honesty, respect, accountability, and care. His years in insurance, real estate, business, media, and nonprofit leadership have reinforced the importance of responsible stewardship. Paul strives to approach every relationship with integrity and every opportunity with gratitude. But above all, he recognizes that he is a steward—not the ultimate source—of the gifts and opportunities placed in his hands.

All for God's Glory

Paul's story is ultimately not about titles, positions, businesses, accomplishments, or professional milestones.

It is about purpose. He gives God the glory for every opportunity he has received, every relationship he has built, every door that has opened, and every person he has been privileged to serve. Paul believes that God has allowed him to experience different industries, communities, cultures, and seasons of life so that those experiences could eventually be used to help others. His prayer is that the knowledge he has gained, the relationships he has developed, and the gifts God has entrusted to him will continue to be used for a greater purpose.

Through VP Cares International Foundation, Paul hopes to encourage others to discover the same truth: that we all have something we can give. Sometimes it may be financial support. Sometimes it may be time, knowledge, encouragement, compassion, a connection, or simply being present for someone who is hurting. Whatever the gift may be, Paul believes it is an opportunity to make a difference. And ultimately, the purpose is not to glorify ourselves through what we accomplish, but to glorify God through how we use what He has entrusted to us. Caring. Sharing. Serving. Giving hope.
